Last summer, Point editor Becca Rothfeld wrote an essay for Gawker arguing that writers shouldn’t talk. “I resent any attempt to drag me back into the sludge of dialogue,” she wrote. And yet, philosophy professor and Point contributor Agnes Callard has succeeded in doing just that—inviting Becca to her Night Owls discussion series at the University of Chicago.
Join Agnes and Becca on January 18th for a conversation about the perils of conversation, presented with the help of The Point! The event will be held on the University of Chicago campus and is free and open to the public, but we’ll be livestreaming the event for those who can’t make it out in person, Chicagoans and non-Chicagoans alike.
