Since it was founded in 2009, The Point has remained faithful to the Socratic idea that philosophy is not just a rarefied activity for scholars and academics but an ongoing conversation that helps us all determine our social and personal values. In the past few years, we have reached a number of important milestones: quadrupling our subscription base, increasing frequency to three times a year, holding events in major U.S. cities, and starting a podcast. These are all exciting developments, but as ever we rely on the support of readers like you to publish and grow.
